When sixteen-year-old Éinar Dahl begins seeing his coastal Swedish hometown rotting beneath waves of living shadow, he’s certain it’s grief-born madness. Cast into a labyrinth of impossible worlds, Éinar must navigate haunted mansions, collapsing dreamscapes, and catacombs steeped in blood to find five arcane keys that can banish The Black forever. But each trial forces him deeper into the trauma he’s spent his life refusing to face. As corruption spreads through the people he loves most, Éinar races against an encroaching apocalypse, one that mirrors his nightmares, and confronts the grief at the root of The Black’s power. Only by embracing the pain that’s defined him can he hope to save his town… or watch it drown beneath the darkness he failed to outrun.
